What is the Instagram rich list?
The Instagram rich list is basically a compilation of all these celebrities and influencers who make the most money off Instagram
Does that mean anyone and everyone can make money off Instagram? Absolutely NOT! These celebrities get paid for endorsing a product or service on Instagram. This means they have to build a brand for themselves to an extent where they are can influence people … Hence “Influencers”.
Take a couple of celebrities from the list for example. Lionel Messi who is 7th on the list is undoubtedly one of the greatest football players of our generation. Similarly, Kevin Hart, who’s 17th on the list, overcame a traumatic childhood to become one of the most successful comedians and actors.
So, while the act of posting a picture and earning millions may seem easy, the process of reaching that stage is definitely not.
Who all are there on the list?
Topping the charts is one of the finest athletes ever, Cristiano Ronaldo who gets a mind-boggling $1,604,000 per sponsored post.
The WWE legend, Dwayne Johnson is a close second, making $1,523,000 per post.
Singer Ariana Grande, businessperson Kylie Jenner and singer/actor Selena Gomez are next on the list, making it to the top 5.
Our very own cricket sensation Virat Kohli doesn’t trail much behind. Occupying the 19th spot, Kohli makes an astonishing $680,000 per post.
The other Indian celebrity who has made it to the top 30 is none other than our global icon Priyanka Chopra. She occupies the 27th spot earning $ 403,000 for each sponsored post.
As compared to 2020, the 2021 list features more celebrities from Asia, Africa as well as from the domain of sports.

From Influencers>to Content Creators >to Educators
The word ‘influencer’ has been stigmatized a bit in the recent past and is associated with being shallow and pretentious- not our words
For example, Instagram, which is seen as a platform for posting aesthetic pictures of sunflowers and iced coffee now has financial influencers!!
Topics like stocks, investment, cryptocurrency and taxes are being increasingly discussed not just on Instagram but across platforms. People now are heading to social media for r tips on investing along those trending tracks. Listening to money money money on loop
The pandemic proved to be a huge boost for content creators. Many small businesses found Instagram as a platform to reach more people and potential customers. Social networking sites also made it possible for content creators and influencers to utilise their fame and urge people to come forward to support the less fortunate in these unprecedented times.
We have come a long way from viewing influencers as people who just wear fancy clothes and eat in quaint little cafes. Today when we talk about influencers we mostly refer to people who add genuine value to our lives be it in terms of entertainment or education. Hence featuring on the list of Instagram’s richest is a reflection of years & years of toil and hard work.
